Às vezes, os encontros ocorrem, que podem alterar a percepção que temos sobre a vida. Encontros, em que nenhuma ligação aparente nos liga para a pessoa que temos diante de nós, mas com quem nos sentimos instintivamente íntimo. Nos últimos dois anos, passei muito tempoo no bairro de onde ele vem (a última capa em Roma antes do grande anel viário que circunda Roma, como ele repete com orgulho) sem entender o porquê. Só agora eu entendo que sua história era na verdade a meu, vista em mundos completamente diferentes.
Sometimes, encounters occur that can change the perception we have on life. Encounters, in which no apparent bond links us to the person we have in front of us, but with whom we feel instinctively intimate. Occurs, that she is captured for being interrogated in order to know where her fiancé Manuel is, accused as a Communist and terrorist attacks.
The other side of the story is the aggressor profile, whose the only purpose, is defend a regime or ideology (political or religious), which not certainty known and neither regardless of the damage for that reason, may be caused to compatriots, family, lifetime friends, colleagues, children, etc.

“Bicicleta” narra um episódio da vida de um jovem, que devido a um desgosto amoroso, parte numa viagem sem destino com o único propósito de descobrir a sua felicidade interior através do isolamento e do contacto com a natureza. Ao longo da sua viagem, com uma bicicleta e de mochila às costas, depara-se com Rosa, uma jovem que, também ela, se encontra numa aventura.
‘Bicicleta’ follows a life event of a teenage boy who, suffering from a broken heart, sets off on a journey without destination in search of inner happiness through isolation and contact with nature. During his trip on a bicycle with a bag on his back he comes across Rosa, another teenager in the midst of an adventure.

Endless sleepless nights alter the state of a woman you need to reconcile your dreams.

Camrex House is a notorious homeless hostel that for 40 years has upheld a fearsome reputation. Its skewed, in-house morality perpetuated by men with complex histories.
Based on interviews with hostel residents, CAMREX constructs a series of unflinchingly visceral sequences that reveal a hidden world of untold stories.
Housing and welfare cuts in the UK have meant a rise in demand for shared accommodation and homelessness. Yet the experiences of residents in hostels are largely unknown (particularly privately run hostels). I wanted to explore the impact of the hostel environment on the men who lived there. I went to Camrex Hostel eager to explore the characters and stories as a photography project. However, I soon found that there were certain images, stories and atmospheres I couldn’t capture in the photos and moving image offered me that possibility. I didn’t want it to just be an unrelentingly grim piece about desperate people in a desperate place. It would be easy to produce an exploitative film in that environment. I wanted to make something that used the expressive tools of cinema to craft an intimate, visually-led and atmospheric film.
Research carried out at Northumbria University (where I also work), ‘found several properties occupied by vulnerable men with high incidences of alcohol dependency and poor physical and mental health.’ (Irving, 2015) Camrex was a wet hostel -meaning cheap alcohol could be purchased on the premises day and night- so some of the residents never left the building. An environment populated by men with varying and complex needs living side by side and without boundaries. The poor conditions, constant threat of violence and lack of control over their environment all impacted the residents’ mental health. This is personified by the lead character in CAMREX, Derek; a man whose family life suddenly fell apart. Derek’s erratic behaviour made him an outcast in a place for outsiders. Seldom engaging with appropriate mental health services, he instead lapsed into drug-dependency in order to cope.

En el 2015 se va a Inglaterra como 1er asistente de dirección en el filme Stones. Ahora estrena su primer cortometraje Capgras como co-directora con Diego Sánchez.
Ruth Cherem Daniel (b. 1989, Mexico City) is a filmmaker with a BA in Filmmaking and TV Production from the CENTRO School of Design, Film and Television in Mexico City. During the summer of 2012, she worked on the feature film MEDEAS as a 2nd Assistant Director. After graduating film school, she completed a film and television director course in Cuba, at the EICTV, and participated as a 1st Assistant Director in the feature film STONES, shot in London, UK. She recently wrote and directed the short film CAPGRAS, which is now scheduled to screen at various international film festivals.

Mental health issues are close to her heart and Conscience is her second short film where the themes revolve around this topic. She hopes that an audience upon seeing Conscience will take away a new perspective on those dealing with mental illness, that it is a difficult hand to be dealt and we can all contribute in making mental health something to be discussed with open minds

Given a console there is an aesthetic excitement represented by the fiction that seems real. These allow live desires and fears in a controlled manner. But it is a false control. The consoles can operate with pre-programmed instructions that provide a fixed set of alternatives, giving the user a sense of control. Thus, one can pose the question: is the user who controls the console or a console that controls the user?
The film is about this duality between control and be controlled, among manipulate and be manipulated.

Teaches the disciplines of Photography and Multimedia in public education.
Directed the short film "Mister Valéry" the homonymous work by Gonçalo M. Tavares. "Mr. Valéry" had its first public performance at Fnac Chiado in Lisbon with live soundtrack by Carlos Bica. Among other awards this film won first place at the festival Farcume 2012.
He has also made several micro-short films and won the first prize at the one minute festival in Brazil with the film "The Bicycle", based on "Short Movies" by Gonçalo M. Tavares.
More recently made three documentaries about the Algarve mountains for the Performing Arts Center of the Algarve with the meetings of DeVir 2012.
In the two last years, directed the shorts “Lúcio” and “Planets aren’t going anywhere” selected and shown in Fantasporto Festival 2013 and 2014 respectly.

Hugo (Francesc Garrido) es un psicólogo con una vida demasiado determinada por su timidez. Hugo (Francesc Garrido) is a psychologist whose life is too influenced by his shyness. As a psychologist, Hugo directs and listens to his patients considerations. However, this therapist-patient role is just a cover to hide his true self. In her session of the day, Esther (Olalla Moreno) tells Hugo she decided to stop the therapy and then she stands up and goes away without any explanation. Hugo needs to find answers because he feels that something is going on.
Àlvar Andrés Elias (Barcelona 1984) se licencia en periodismo en el año 2007. Después de trabajar un tiempo en prensa y radio se matricula en la ESCAC, y se gradúa en la especialidad de dirección en el año 2015. Cuatro días de octubre, su corto de graduación, es una aproximación a un psicólogo que deberá superar su dificultad de comunicación motivado por el comportamiento de una paciente. Francesc Garrido y Olalla Moreno dan vida a unos personajes que en su obsesión podrían encontrar su tabla de salvación. Actualmente prepara nuevos proyectos y lee.

A young woman, Malina (24) wakes up startled. She tries to remember. With a smile she gets up, gets in the bathroom and after that cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Meanwhile, she tells her boyfriend by her strange dream, but the situation is tense. Somewhat depressing is in between them. In the afternoon Malina irons alone the laundry and done some tasks. Then she meets in the park with her boyfriend. There she tried hopefully to convince him to spend with her a nice evening. She prepare all for a beautiful dinner. She is waiting for him. At the dinner, a dispute developed. Malina disengages and the situation escalates. It is clear now that Malina sits opposite nobody. She wakes up scared in her bed. It is located in a psychiatric hospital. The separation from her boyfriend has held her in a loop of memories of the last day with him. A liberating wines is the first step to let go.
Born: 07. March 1983, in Astana, Kazakhstan Nationality: German Director Waldemar Oldenburger grew up in the current capital of Kazakhstan. At age of 11 he moved with his family to Germany. Here he went to school and studied computer science economy. He loved movies and saw everything he could find at home. At 17 he began to write songs and formed a band with. But the music was not all about for him. With 25 years, he discovered photography and fell in love with the imagery. The first small experements with filmmaking, were for his band. Thus arose music videos. In 2014 he decided to make his first short film. So Malina was born. He did the whole film without any proffessional knowledge about short films. From the idea to the finished film, it way an experience, that is real love.

The story is based on personal experience gathered during a day at the Center for Integrated Education for disabled children located in the Saharawi refugee camps in Algeria. The Polisario Front as representative of the Sahrawi people despite the precarious conditions in which people live and 40 years, promoted the inclusion as a way to avoid marginalization and discrimination of one of the most vulnerable populations within these territories are children with special needs. "Castro" is the man who devotes his life to fighting this beautiful project with all adversity: physical, psychological, social, economic, and even misunderstandings of their own society. The Saharawis are living (resisting) in one of the harshest deserts on earth, but Castro has the magic formula for the inclusion of these wonderful creatures in their society and the world: MUSAWAT, EQUALITY.

Está envolvido no projecto "Arquipélago" - uma série documental sobre literatura - onde assume a realização e a edição. O filme foi realizado por um grupo de alunos do Centro de Reabilitação da Granja que participaram nas oficinas de cinema de animação do Centro Lúdico da Imagem Animada Anilupa no âmbito do projeto “Também Nós”. São jovens em desvantagem social, nomeadamente em situação de risco, com deficiência ou com perturbações psiquiátricas em processos de recuperação.
O Centro Lúdico da Imagem Animada Anilupa (CLIA_Anilupa), valência da Associação de Ludotecas do Porto, é um equipamento lúdico, educativo, cultural e formativo que desenvolve um conjunto de modalidades de intervenção no âmbito da animação da imagem dirigido a instituições e população em geral, desde 1990. Atualmente a filmografia do estúdio estende-se a mais de 200 filmes realizados por crianças, jovens e adultos, provenientes de diversas instituições.

Em 2016 decide realizar a curta-metragem "NOIVA". À realização de filmes junta também a escrita de argumentos, com alguns projectos já em pré-produção para o ano corrente.

Young Lebanese director studied Social science between 2007 and 2009.Graduated from the Lebanese University with a bachelor degree in Audio-Visual Studies in 2010.Started working as an editor for TV Programs and documentary films in 2011,Then switched to work as a freelancer assistant director and Décor supervisor in several films and TV series.In 2014 she participated in Outbox Short Film workshop where the synopsis of her short film “Portrait” won to be produced and filmed in an aim to be screened at Outbox Short Film Festival in Beirut and Germany.In 2015 she filmed her 2nd short film “Outside Signs” in Portugal- Faro.

We All Flew. A group of people take part in a theatre course as a therapy for their mental illnesses. Their objective will be to put on a theatre play together inspired by One Flew Over the Cuckoo´s Nest. They will take us on a journey which mixes the fiction with the reality created by their own minds.

Jose Cabrera Betancort holds a Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Media at Universidad Complutense Madrid. "Yo te prefiero" (2008) was his first short film. It won the 1st prize San Borondón in El Festivalito from La Palma, 2nd prize in Cruzarte and Canary Goverment Prize besides being selected in more than 15 film festivals. Cahiers du Cinema Spain (now Caiman Cuadernos de Cine) picked "Vertigo50" as one of the best Spanish shorts in 2009. His documentary work "When in Bucharest (Do as the Romans Do)" premiered in DocumentaMadrid and it was selected also in competition at Alcine, Rio de Janeiro, Toluca, and it was awarded as best editing at Aguilar de Campoo. He was an artist in residency at RAER (Rome) and TEA (Tenerife). He is also the director of "La caja de Medea" (M
edea ́s Box), "Dársena" (Dock), "Cemetery 35" and "Un indie muy mainstream".

Dados da Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) indicam que 340 milhões de pessoas em todo o mundo sofrem de depressão. Isto representa cerca de 850 000 suicídios por ano.
A OMS também adverte que 75% das pessoas com depressão não recebem o tratamento adequado.
Assim existem cada vez mais pedidos de ajuda de pessoas sozinhas, deprimidas e com pensamentos suicidas.
"Vazio" é a história de um homem de meia-idade que perdeu tudo e se depara com o mais esmagador de todos os males: o Vazio.
